Trauma Bleed Boxes and Bleed Kit Bags Save Lives!

April 27, 2026

By Sue Scott-Horne, Founder, Let's Get Talking

Let’s Get Talking Charity in Camden have been instrumental in fundraising to donate Trauma Bleed Boxes and Trauma Bleed Kit bags, that save lives from a stabbing or a bad accident. We have been supported by many businesses in Camden/London, especially LabTech and have so far donated the first Trauma Bleed Box into Camden Stables Market and outside Hampstead Town Hall. We have also distributed  bleed bags to various schools and organisations, but we are desperate for more funding to donate more.

The Daniel Baird Bleed Kits are not a First-Aid kit. They are equipped to save lives, and have everything in the kit to do just that. They are registered with the emergency services database www.bleedmap.uk for access and locations.

They need to be everywhere, schools, shops, youth projects, pubs, libraries etc which is why we have an ongoing fundraising campaign at www.letsgettalking.org.

FYI DISCUSSION CARD SETS

With Knife Crime remaining high, and with so many young people dying from the blade our Award winning - PSHE topic-based individually-boxed education knife crime discussion card sets will support your work. For example, HMPPS London Probation Service have purchased a large quantity of these successful sets for every one of their London offices to support young people to understand the consequences of carrying or using a knife. We also have many more projects around Health & Crime Prevention for schools, PRU's, Prisons, Probation Offices, Parents, Youth Projects etc. These are available online at www.letsgettalking.org. They are all aimed at children & young people. We also find that adults find these sets useful to talk about an issue they may be facing with their child. Full guidance is included.

LET'S GET TALKING WORKSHOPS

Our Knife Crime Safety Education Workshops for primary & secondary age groups covering knife crime safety and drugs awareness can be delivered to Primary & Secondary School Assemblies, classes, youth projects, PRU's and anyone requesting support. All this is available now.  We also partner with the Ben Kinsella Trust knife crime exhibition, which is a powerful educative event which you can visit through us.
