Twining’s mission is to provide high quality, co-produced services that enable people’s mental health problems to overcome their challenges, sustain employment and thrive in their lives.

Over our 25-year history, we have supported more than 10,000 people through meaningful life transitions, with 1 in 3 people who access our employment services achieving sustained work.  We have become a leader in IPS model (Individual, Placement and Support), the most empirically tested approach for successful employment support for people with mental health problems.

Our services can be divided into:

· Services for clients: supporting individuals to become self-responsible, financially independent, have a sense of purpose and engaged with others and their community. We achieve this through 1-2-1 and group interventions, individually tailored support and coaching and mentoring.

· Support for employers: helping business owners and managers to positively address mental health at work and recruit and retain staff with mental health problems as effectively as possible.

“Unique Talent CIC offers three interrelated services, through three interconnected departments offering: gang prevention, mediation, mentoring, coaching and music production as a foundation. Through these services, we seek to offer positive alternatives and diversion to young people involved with or at risk of involvement in gangs and serious youth violence. Prior to engagement in our programs, we conduct extensive street-based outreach work, which allows us to establish links with young people and local communities. We gain knowledge of specific local issues and any potential conflicts. Where appropriate, we can offer an adaptable conflict resolution and mediation services, aimed at reducing or redressing tensions when they arise.

Core Services:

1) Youth Engagement – youth work delivery on the streets of London. Prevention and intervention work covering gangs, youth violence, weapons, county lines, drugs, prison, joint enterprise and more. We deliver this work in schools, people referral units, youth clubs, Youth Offending services, probation and community hubs.

2) Peer Profession Service – upskilling teachers and professionals working with young people in the community. Sharing our first-hand experiences to enable/equip and empower professionals to deal with a variety of issues faced by the youth of London today.

3) Parents/Community Engagement – providing information, advice and guidance to parents and guardians of the young people who are at risk or involved with gangs and serious youth violence. We offer a 24/7 advice line where parents can call in to discuss issues within the home or extended family home.  Awarded £22,000 to deliver a series of workshops and peer mentoring to young BAME men aged 24 and under engaged in or at risk of knife crime, along with training sessions to teachers, professionals and parents to raise awareness of risks in Merton.”

Our outdated criminal records regime is holding hundreds of thousands of people back from participating fully in society. Even a minor criminal history can produce lifelong barriers to employment, volunteering, housing and even travelling abroad, many years after people have moved on from their past. The system needs to change.

The #FairChecks movement is calling for the government to launch a major review of the legislation on the disclosure of criminal records to reduce the length of time a record is revealed. We are looking for reform in the following areas:

1. Reducing the length of time a person’s conviction is revealed on basic checks.

2. Making a more proportionate and flexible system to what is revealed on standard and enhanced checks that protects the public without unduly harming people’s opportunity to get on in life.

3. A distinct approach to records acquired in childhood and a more nuanced approach to those acquired in early adulthood.

4. The introduction of review mechanisms so that no one has to face a lifetime being held back by their past without the prospect of review at some point.

We want a disclosure system that is fair and gives people a genuine chance of moving on and contributing fully to society.

We work collaboratively with communities to enable children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs to unlock their full potential.

We do this through our strategic goals:

• We deliver high performing therapeutic programmes and education provision for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
• We work in collaboration with families, communities, and other partners to ensure that children and young people access the interventions they need in order to thrive.
• We work in a trauma-informed way that is child centric and attachment based, with a total commitment to excellent safeguarding practice.
• We cultivate a work force of knowledgeable and skilled staff who are passionate about supporting children and young people to make positive changes in their lives.

Children and young people who have difficulties with their emotional and social development may have immature social skills and find it difficult to make and sustain healthy relationships. These difficulties may be displayed through the young person becoming withdrawn or isolated, as well as through challenging, disruptive or disturbing behaviour. SEMH can manifest as difficulties relating to problems of mood (anxiety or depression), problems of conduct (oppositional defiance and more severe conduct problems including aggression), self-harming, substance abuse, eating disorders or physical symptoms that are medically unexplained. Some children and young people may have recognised disorders such as attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) attachment disorder, pervasive development disorder, an anxiety disorder, or, more rarely, schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.

UnLtd finds, funds and supports social entrepreneurs - enterprising people with solutions that change our society for the better. We were formed in 2002 by seven organisations who believed that social entrepreneurs had a much bigger contribution to make to our economy and society. We were among the first to back individuals with their own ideas to create social good.

UnLtd's core start up awards are funded by the income generated from an endowment from the Millennium Commission. This legacy is carefully invested so that it generates income to fund our awards for years to come.

Since we were founded, we have learned a lot about what is needed for social entrepreneurs to create the change they want to see. We have grown our support beyond our core awards, helping to accelerate the impact of scaling ventures. We have identified areas where we are well placed to create change, and focused our efforts where it can make the biggest difference. We have identified barriers faced by social entrepreneurs and look to tackle them through research, policy work and our campaigns. And we have realised that we cannot do it alone, seeking committed partners and funders who share our vision.

They offer leadership programs, mentoring, and social action projects to empower young people to make a positive difference.

UpRising exists to open up pathways to power and leadership and equip young people with the tools to follow them.

We work with a wide range of young people from backgrounds that are underrepresented in positions of leadership, including those from working class  and ethnic minority backgrounds. Supporting these young people into positions of power will have positive repercussions for society in every sector. Our vision is for leaders to reflect the rich diversity of life experience in our society, as this facilitates innovation and creativity.

We believe that young people are uniquely placed to change the world. User Voice was founded in 2009 by Mark Johnson, an ex-offender and former drug abuser, who has gone onto becoming a best-selling author and respected social commentator. They have offices in London and 3 other major cities.  “Mark’s story embodies the transformative change which User Voice strives to achieve. Mark’s direct contact with the criminal justice system, and later as an employer of ex-offenders and consultant for government and other charities, left him convinced of the urgent need to create a model of service user engagement that is fair for all involved. His principal aim was to foster dialogue between service providers and service users that is mutually beneficial, aiding rehabilitation and recovery and results in better and more cost-effective services. User Voice was established in 2009 and received its charitable status in 2010. At User Voice we know that the criminal justice system needs to be improved. We are optimistic that change is possible and we know that we have the experience and insight to contribute to making it better. Rehabilitation is possible, and people with convictions can turn their lives into an active force for good in society. Rehabilitation is the goal of all our work, a process which goes deeper than reducing offending, although that is an outcome. At User Voice we build the structures that enable productive collaboration between service users and service providers. We are able to do this because our work is led and delivered by ex-offenders. This gives us the special ability to gain the trust of, access to, and insight from people within the criminal justice system. Society feels frustrated with those who re-offend repeating cycles of behaviour and not engaging with rehabilitation services. Yet people with convictions feel marginalised by society, with rehabilitation services which are often inaccessible and unhelpful and a system that doesn’t value their input.”  Whatever the truth, we won’t reduce crime unless we deal with this division. User Voice’s core belief is that rehabilitation only happens when everyone in the criminal justice system shares responsibility for transforming the ‘us vs. them’ division into real collaboration. Our work is led and delivered by ex-offenders who consistently foster dialogue between users and providers of services within the criminal justice system. We work to provide ways that enable unheard voices; to make a difference, to urge policy-makers and people with power who make decisions to listen.

Vauxhall City Farm is one of the oldest and most central city farms in London, being located within earshot of Big Ben and in the shadow of MI6.  Despite this proximity to ‘wealth’, Lambeth is one of the most deprived boroughs in London and the farm is surrounded by high-rise blocks occupied by individuals and families, many of whom have low incomes and suffer poverty of opportunity.

Given the open access nature of the farm, it would be very easy to dismiss VCF as simply being a cute place to visit and ‘all about the animals’.  Behind the public face, the reality is that our animals, whilst much loved, are essentially a vehicle for education and change; the animals feature in many of our programmes and are key to helping our staff and volunteers engage with and deliver positive impact for both individual beneficiaries and groups from our wider community.

Victim Support is an independent charity. We are dedicated to supporting people affected by crime and traumatic incidents in England and Wales, and we put them at the heart of our organisation. Our support and campaigns are informed and shaped by them and their experiences.

We provide specialist services to help people cope and recover and to empower them to ensure their voices are heard individually and collectively at a local and national level.

Our services help people affected by all types of crime and we provide free confidential support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for people affected by crime and traumatic events — regardless of whether they have reported the crime to the police or when it occurred and for as long as it is needed.

Most of our services are delivered locally through skilled staff and volunteers who are deeply rooted in their communities. We adapt our services to meet local need and pride ourselves on being responsive to local demands. These services are closely linked into the National Homicide Service providing a dedicated, comprehensive service for those bereaved by murder and manslaughter and our national Support line.

From our hub site in Beckton, Newham, our work extends across east London, Essex and International sites, spanning all ages and abilities.

We are proud of our multi-layered diverse approach which means we can meet the needs of our beneficiaries whether it’s through our health initiatives helping those most vulnerable, providing mentoring, education and employment opportunities, keeping children and youths engaged and supported through sports and classroom provision, or giving people the opportunity to follow their football dreams on the pitch while also gaining qualifications off the pitch. We are wholly committed to helping others fulfil their potential as well as fulfilling our potential and responsibilities as an organisation.

Over the last few years the Foundation has grown vastly: being recognised and validated for our approach, engaging with up to 50,000 people annually whilst focusing on individual outcomes as a collective and, working with colleagues from across the football sector to ensure we are delivering the best Football Club Community Schemes we can!

The combination of a global pandemic and existing equality issues in society created real challenges in 2020. Alongside the Club, we believe that tackling these issues has to continue to be at the heart of everything we do in the future. The West Ham United Foundation has been supporting local charities, good causes and social support programmes for 30 years now. There will always be more to be done and we remain committed to making a difference in our community; adapting our approach so that we can have maximum impact while meeting the new restrictions imposed to stay as safe as possible in the face of COVID-19.

The strategy we have developed, outlined below, is sustainable, transparent and ultimately puts people at the heart of our work; making a real difference in our community.

Vision

Harnessing the power of football to maximise life-chances and inspire better futures for all

Mission

To provide an innovative approach to understanding and meeting the needs of our community; building partnerships and utilising insight and technology to create an environment where all can thrive - from the heart of east London

• Create Opportunities

Women and Girls Network (WGN) was established in 1987 and has spent over 30 years supporting women and girls across London affected by gendered violence. This includes childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, prostitution (including trafficking and sexual exploitation), female genital mutilation (FGM), and so-called 'honour' based crimes such as forced marriage.

Our free, women-only and survivor-led service offers a holistic response to women and girls who have experienced, or are at risk of, gendered violence.

The aim of our work is to create a safe, non-judgmental and non-directive space in which women and girls can explore their experiences, and know that they will be listened to and believed. WGN is based on feminist principles, which has empowerment as a key concept. We understand that every woman's healing journey is unique, and our services are designed to offer women the opportunity to travel along on their journey. Our goal is to promote, preserve, and restore the mental health and wellbeing of women and girls, to empower them to make a total and sustainable recovery from the experiences of violence.

Women in Prison (WIP) is a national charity that delivers support for women affected by the criminal justice system in prisons, in the community and through our Women's Centres. We campaign to end the harm caused to women, their families and our communities by imprisonment.
We (1) lead inspiring, passionate campaigns for systemic change and to radically reduce the number of women in prison, thereby freeing resources for investment in community support services, including women's centres.

We also (2) deliver high quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy and support services for women, in communities and prisons, which focus on early intervention, health and holistic provision as part of a 'whole system' multi-agency response. As well, we (3) offer a platform for women's voices that builds women's confidence and self-belief, strengthening an understanding of their rights and responsibilities, and provides opportunities to 'speak truth to power' to bring about real change.

Word 4 Weapons has been a leading weapons surrender charity in the UK since 2012, supplying knife bins to a number of police forces, community groups and faith organisations.

Past awards have been given out to London's Air Ambulance who received a 'Life Saver' Gold Key' Community Award,  from Word 4 Weapons, recognising the work the charity does responding to and treating casualties of gun and knife crime in the Capital.

Now, with the UK's dramatic increase in knife crime, the Charity is expanding its area of operation to include a range of new education services including training for youth workers, awareness sessions and a range of useful resources.

Most people agree that the frightening increase in knife crime can only be tackled by a multi-faceted approach and we believe that our new services will help ensure Word 4 Weapons can play a full and active part in the solution.
We will liaise with Schools and staff to highlight the consequences of knife crime and emphasise conflict resolution skills. Encourage positive decision making.

W4W expected outcome will be  to raise awareness among students regarding the risks of carrying knives while promoting non-violent approaches to resolving conflicts.

W4W will be actively engaging with community groups where possible, so please get in touch if you would like to be part of Training package, of saving lives through prevention and education around the impact and consequences of Knife enabled crime.

Wuntanara – meaning 'we are together' – is the exciting creation of master drummer Souleymane Compo.

Wuntanara's African drum and dance workshops are great for kids: They give children and young people the opportunity to experience West African culture first hand. Playing and dancing together promotes team working, and helps to build self-confidence. Drumming and dance are fun ways to exercise and develop co-ordination, and to channel energy, release tension and improve concentration.

XLP’s mission statement is:

‘To engage in long-term relationships that empower young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to complete their education, avoid anti-social behaviour and ultimately become independent and confident contributors within their communities.’

XLP stands for ‘The eXceL Project’. In 1996, in response to a stabbing in a school playground, the school’s headmaster asked Patrick Regan, who was then a local church-based youth worker, to come into the school, work with their students and teachers and help with difficult behavioural issues. XLP now operates across nine inner-city boroughs around London, working with over 1,600 young people through education, mentoring, sport and the arts.

For example their Bike Maintenance courses and their Guardian Project.

GUARDIAN PROJECT

Supporting young people with their education during the pandemic. Our Guardian Project has been supporting the most disadvantaged young people from North London.
Even during the pandemic, we were able to offer online support to our young people. We have also run a tech appeal so that our young people have access to their schools and teachers during lockdown, as well as the online support that we're now offering.

We are continuing to work on exciting new projects that we will announced on the website. These will be designed around offering further means of online support to our service users.

Our comprehensive Pathways to Leadership project is designed to engage young people in a programme that would run over the course of several months per group. Our project is designed to directly impact at least forty-five struggling young people every year, in their journey to increased life prospects and employability. It offers a wide range of experiences to our service users, starting with a fun and ice-breaking bicycle maintenance course, and includes 1-2-1 mentoring support and guidance, and culminates in a summer expedition to the Lake District with The Outward Bound Trust.

YMCA's vision in England and Wales is of an inclusive Christian movement transforming communities so that all young people can belong, contribute and thrive. Together, as the YMCA federation in England and Wales, we focus our work around the following key areas: (1) Family & Youth Work, (2) Health & Wellbeing, (3) Housing, (4) Support & Advice, (5) Training & Education, (6) Policy & Research.

YMCA believes in fairness and opportunity. There are essential building blocks for a full and rewarding life: a safe home; acceptance; guidance; friendship; physical and mental health; academic support; employment skills; and access to real opportunities. Many young people have never known these things; other people have lost one or more as they grew up, but we all need them.

At YMCA, we provide these critical foundations for a fresh, strong start for young people and a better quality of life in the community. We actively look for opportunities to make a transformative impact on young lives in the communities where we work, and believe that every person is of equal value.

“You and Me Counselling is a charitable organisation based in the London Borough of Havering, which was established in 2011. The charity came from the founder’s personal experiences, when she found there were no services out there to support her troubled teenaged son. Worried about his anti-social behaviour, she spoke to as many experts as possible, most of whom recommended CBT. After gaining a degree in CBT and experiencing the profound impact her journey had on her son, she wanted to help young people and their families in similar situations. Originally based in Romford, in October 2015 we moved to our new office in Hornchurch Town Centre. We provide vulnerable children/young people and their families with Information, Advice, Tutoring, Educating/ Role modelling, Mentoring, Counselling and Psychological therapies. We also work closely with children/young people and their families who display disruptive, anti-social and/or truancy behaviours in school and could be at risk of being excluded or have already been excluded from schools. Furthermore, we provide group therapy sessions, parental classes, and staff training sessions in schools.

We are passionate about working with children and young people to establish an understanding of their situation and problems, hoping to instil/re-instil meaning and value into their lives. We also work with adult clients, providing support for a wide range of issues”.

They were recently awarded £14,600 to deliver a project of awareness raising and school talks on the dangers of knife crime followed by family counselling for 12 at-risk young people and their families in Havering, benefitting 140 people overall.

Connected, thriving communities are the foundation of our society. They keep us safer, happier and healthier – more resilient and able to face shared challenges.

Today, The Young Foundation’s mission is to develop better connected and more sustainable communities across the UK. As a UKRI accredited Independent Research Organisation, social investor and community development practitioner, we combine all our skills and expertise, to further that mission.

We amplify the stories and lived experiences of people in our communities; using this as a spur to drive locally-led community action and enterprise. And we use what we learn across different communities to spot national patterns of need and opportunity. Then we work with national partners to support new ideas to tackle those shared, national challenges.

Bringing together our own – and other people’s – work, we are building a shared body of evidence, tools and insight about how communities are taking action on the issues that affect them. We are experts in understanding the changing role of communities in the 21st century.

Most of us can count on our families for love, support and guidance when we need it most. But young people in care have to grow up without this safety net. And at age 18, the limited support they do receive drops substantially at a really critical time.  This lack of support can leave them feeling abandoned and vulnerable and facing a future of further disadvantage.

We're here to fill that gap and to support young care-leavers on their journey into adulthood. We help them move towards practical, financial, social and emotional independence and a happier and more fulfilling future.

Our vision is to create a blueprint for best practice nationally, setting a standard for supporting young people who are in and leaving care.

Our approach is based on research that shows that developing social and emotional capabilities is key to transforming the way young people deal with challenges in life and can transform the way they see their future.

It's why we place mental health and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and it's why therapeutic support is built into every aspect of our organisation.

Our diverse, highly experienced team are trained in dealing with young people with complex trauma and mental health diagnoses who have had multiple placement breakdowns.

Taking a strengths-based approach that prioritises young peoples' skills, abilities and interests we work closely with young people to build the kind of warm and nurturing relationships that provide a stable base for long-term behaviour change.

Research shows that just as episodes of trauma can shift the direction of life, positive experiences can have a transformational impact on young people.

Young People Insight was launched as a physical platform in January 2016, and registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC) in January 2019, to empower the voices of young people, aged 16-26, giving them the opportunity to make their voices heard by speaking out on topics that are important to them and sharing their stories to inspire others.

Through involvement in this youth-led platform, young people are able to develop their confidence and communication skills, as well as build self-esteem and respect for each other.  Young individuals from all walks of life are welcomed and treated as equal, forming a community where they are loved and encouraged to expand their mindset.

A key element of Young People Insight is also to increase community engagement and be the change we want to see.  If we want to see any sort of change in a society that would prefer to ignore us and hold us down, then we need to shout as loud as we can, ensure that our voice is heard and make a positive difference, otherwise things will continue to stay the same.

This insight into young people will provide wider society with a deeper understanding of who we are as individuals, rather than labeling us on what we've done or what we do.  There is great potential in all of us, which needs to tap into, because we can make a genuine difference.  Our mission is to create a safe and loving community, giving young people the space to express themselves freely, tap into their full potential, learn from others and be the change they want to see.

The Young Reporter scheme is a schools programme giving students aged 14-18 an opportunity to write for a real live online newspaper. The programme runs for eight months during the school term, with various opportunities offered along the way.

The Young Reporter Scheme has been running since 2008 in partnership with Newsquest Media Group. It is a quality programme, delivering lectures and teachings to help mould young people, not only into the world of the media, but also into worthwhile careers for the future.

Starting with two pilot schools and a handful of students in London, it grew exponentially and since then we have taken thousands of students through the process.

The scheme is open to Years 10, 11, 12 and 13 and students start their 'writing career' uploading articles directly onto the Newsquest websites, within specified deadlines and categories.

Our youth charity's programmes are designed around prevention and built to drive creativity, such as our multimedia bus workshops, which we take into communities, as a safe and exciting space to inspire and build their confidence. We also take our facilitators to schools, community centres and youth hubs. Your Life You Choose Brent & Barnet delivers an award-winning one day multi-agency presentation day to deter young people from crime, raise awareness of the consequences of their choices and empower them to make better decisions and keep themselves safe. The project is led by magistrates in the North West London Justice Area.

We present to secondary schools, youth organisations and communities throughout Brent and Barnet.

This multi agency approach delivers a different perspective in each workshop ensuring a complete understanding and recognition of 'choice' and 'consequence' resonate with all students.

The multi-agency presentation day is specifically geared to Year 7 students. Using the medium of the criminal justice system we raise awareness of the consequences of bad choices. In a rotation of workshops with partner agencies, students look at how society deals with people who commit crime. We explore students' preconceptions and stereotyping in relation to criminal activity. We raise awareness of the long lasting and far reaching impact of crime on their lives and their community. Also addressing the importance of keeping themselves safe, being aware of their surroundings, speaking up about their concerns and the importance of friendship choices.

YourStance is a preventative educational project which empowers young people to make informed decisions when faced with an emergency by teaching lifesaving skills.

Our Goals: To eradicate needless deaths in our communities by having open conversations, empowering, and sharing knowledge and skills between experienced healthcare professionals and young people at risk of serious youth violence. All of our workshops are trauma informed and evidence based practice from the resus council, APLS and Stop the Bleed.

Depending on the circumstance we will ask for a contribution towards our workshops ongoing costs. Please ask for the full cost package if keen to book a session. If you want to set up your own workshops in your hospital, trust or community, just get in touch.

NHS London Violence Reduction Programme collaboration with YourStance:

The London Violence Reduction Programme was established in mid-2019 to deliver a coordinated regional health response to violence reduction across the capital. The programme is comprised of a number of workstreams aiming to mobilise local health systems to support violence reduction and improve wellbeing in our communities.

Using existing knowledge, design and implementation, the London Violence Reduction Programme and YourStance are working together to equip vulnerable young Londoners fundamental lifesaving skills. Outreach sessions will teach youth aged 11 – 25 how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and haemorrhage control following serious incidents of violence.

Why is it important?

Research at the Royal London (BMJ, 2018) highlighted the case for timely treatment and action for better health and life outcomes of young people seriously injured by serious youth violence. This has contributed to the importance of our programme, to teach and empower young people between the ages of 13-25 years, most at risk of serious youth violence, with skills to save a life if faced with an emergency.

The programme is built upon the passion and expertise of clinical volunteers. YourStance does rely on local funding grants and therefore will ask for a contribution towards the projects costs. info@yourstance.org

The Youth Endowment Fund will fund, support, and evaluate programmes and community partnerships to build an evidence base of what works to prevent children becoming involved in violence. We are here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.by funding, supporting and evaluating promising interventions working with 10-14 year olds in England and Wales to prevent later offending.

The YEF will invest in a range of diversion activities like mental health support, whole family interventions or mentoring. They’ll fund great projects that show promise, so that they can understand how offering alternatives to arrest, conviction and custody to children who’ve offended can sustainably prevent them from becoming involved in violence later in their lives.

Their commitment to the evidence – as well as funding projects – is why the YEF will invest in rigorous evaluation. By improving our understanding of which programmes work and by helping organisations put it into practice, the YEF will help prevent children and young people in England and Wales from becoming involved in violence.

We intend to change the youth employment system by working in partnership with organisations, policy makers, employers, practitioners and young people to address systemic barriers, expand opportunities and support more young people from marginalised backgrounds to be ready for work.

Our board and our team reflect the diversity of life experiences, ethnic backgrounds, gender and religion of the young people we aim to serve. Our collective desire to help young people improve their life chances drives everything we do.

Youth Ink is a forum operating in the heart of communities and led by people with experience of the criminal justice system. Youth Ink uses the power of peer networks to rehabilitate and to create safer communities for the future. By harnessing these relationships and improving collaboration with decision-makers at all levels.
Youth Ink ensures justice policies have maximum impact on the most vulnerable individuals in society. Youth Ink comprises those who have lived experience of the criminal justice system and the wider issues surrounding it, such as racial discrimination, addiction and mental health problems.

By including marginalised people in the development of the solutions, Youth Ink develops youth justice interventions that meet the needs and concerns of those whose lives stand to benefit most.

We have developed a tried and tested model that enables understanding, collaboration and change. Successful rehabilitation and re-integration begin with changing and adapting Youth Justice Services into programs that meet real, identified needs centred on collaboration with young people and stakeholders.

Youth Mix has been set up in response to the severe and detrimental cuts to funding and young people's services across England, including the mass closures of youth services across the country, leaving young people with a lack of services and support, and an increase in youth crime, self-harm and suicide. Young people are feeling more and more isolated and  feel segregated from society with no real voice or future prospects.

At Youth Mix we aim to facilitate real change in the lives of young people aged 16 to 26 years old by facilitating informal educational activities, training opportunities and life experiences that inspire young people while providing tools and skills to help young people lead active and independent lives.

One in seven children are obese by the time they start school, increasing to one in four by year six (NHS, 2021). The Youth Sport Trust (YST) is the UK's leading charity improving every young person's education and development through sport and play. The YST equips educators and empowers young people with the vision of creating a future where every child enjoys the life-changing benefits of play and sport. The YST works across the UK and internationally, equipping and empowering the next generation. Sport gives young people a platform to have their voice heard and a place to feel they belong. We are a leading source of PE and youth sport news, insight, and opinion. We harness this extraordinary power to change young lives today and help them build a brighter tomorrow. We do this by (1) running inclusive and innovative programmes, (2) bringing together communities of educators, and (3) providing practical tools and resources. We have identified six key groups of changemakers and how they are best placed to help build belonging: Educators, Young people, Organisations, Influencers in public life, Families, and Ourselves.

We work in collaboration with statutory organisations, commissioned services and charities to provide a more cohesive approach to providing solutions.

Youth Unity CIC is a "not for profit" organisation established to provide effective help and support to vulnerable young people and adults affected by group violence (gangs), drugs and other forms of exploitation such as human trafficking, CSE and extremism. We work in collaboration with statutory organisations, commissioned services and charities to provide a more cohesive approach to solutions. We focus on improving opportunities for all, especially young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Our overall belief is that by helping to improve the overall health and well-being of an individual they can make better informed choices and decisions. We offer mentoring, workshops and training for young people, professionals, parents and carers.

Our core belief revolves around ensuring that every young person is treated fairly and as a unique individual, regardless of factors such as age, gender, race, religion, ability, or background. As an organisation, our primary objective is to facilitate the thriving and realisation of the full potential of young individuals, ensuring they are thoroughly prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in their adult lives. Through collaborative endeavours with diverse stakeholders, Youth Unity CIC strives to diminish vulnerability and safeguard local communities, in line with the Government's strategy.

imabi is a technology platform and app provider for personal safety, wellbeing and lifestyle management, giving users access to trusted information, guidance, reporting and support tools. We enable people and organisations to connect using responsible technology through our ground-breaking apps.

With a range of social issues affecting everyone, everywhere; imabi is on a mission to bring about change by empowering people to speak up, make informed choices and feel empowered in tackling root causes of harmful attitudes and behaviours. imabi is already in schools supporting young people by increasing the probability of them speaking up about their concerns and wellbeing and accessing help. imabi knows the value of being able to rely on trusted information when so much harmful and fake information is routinely published and has therefore created areas in the app whether students can access guidance, important information and receive real time messages.  imabi helping schools with their safeguarding responsibilities and supplies trend data so they better understand what is happening in their school communities.

The power of imabi comes from adopting a proactive and preventative approach in applying its technology. The innovative use of technology means we are focused on helping people to reduce the risk of something happening to them but also giving them access to help if something does. Its current 7 app features mean everything is conveniently in one place – support, reporting, guidance, survey tool, geo-location, a virtual noticeboard and messaging. Organisations can input their own content in the apps for their users to access whether that is campaigns, signposting to support and services, important information or guidance. Users can also access location services to create safe groups and stay connected when out and about. imabi is working with partners to make their technology accessible to everyone – building safer communities together and delivering real social value.
