Action: Commission new research into the causes, impacts and influencers of body dissatisfaction, and what works to tackle the cause and effects of low body image.

Action: Work with schools to support the roll-out of mandatory Relationships Sex and Health Education to ensure that it provides children and young people with the knowledge and understanding that they need on violence against women and girls.

Lead: Department for Education

Status: Completed - Since September 2020, Relationships and Health Education has been compulsory in primary schools and Relationships Sex and Health Education has been compulsory in secondary schools.

In September 2020, the Department for Education published a package of support for all schools to support the implementation and teaching of the RSHE curriculum.
